2 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp cumin
1/3 cup tomato sauce
1/4 tsp basil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tablespoons oil

Easy Mexican Rice Recipe: Spicy Spanish Rice Instructions:
Prepare Ingredients:
Saute Rice:
Add Tomato Sauce and Spices:
Pour in 1/3 cup of tomato sauce and continue stirring for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Add 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp basil, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp onion powder to the rice.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir well to combine the spices with the rice.
Prepare Bouillon Mixture:
Dissolve the 3 bouillon cubes in the hot water, ensuring they are completely dissolved.
Simmer Rice:
Slowly pour the bouillon mixture into the pan with the rice and spices.
Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer for 10 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
Rest the Rice:
Remove the pan from the heat.
Keep the lid on and let the rice stand for an additional 10 minutes. Do not open the lid during this time.
Fluff and Serve:
After 10 minutes, carefully remove the lid.
Fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains and mix the flavors.
