Directions

Pineapple Ham Glaze
  • Bring Dr. Pepper, sugar, pineapple juice, and mustard to boil in medium saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until pineapple is tender and has absorbed the syrup (about 10 minutes.)

  • Add Cornstarch and water until thickened. Set to the side.

  • Remove ham from packaging and discard plastic disk that covers bone. (if it has one, mine did not) Place ham in plastic oven bag, tie bag shut. Place  in a  13 by 9-inch baking dish (tied side down) and cut 4 slits in top of bag.

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake ham until center registers about 100 degrees on instant-read thermometer, 1 1/2 to 2  (about 14 minutes per pound) , depending on weight of ham.

  • Remove ham from oven and remove oven bag. Brush ham liberally with glaze and return to oven briefly until glaze becomes sticky, about 10 minutes. (do this twice) Remove from oven, brush entire ham again with glaze, loosely cover with foil, and let rest for 15 to 30 minutes before carving.
