Old School Cafeteria Brownies

These fudge cake like brownies rich and delicious. They taste like old school brownies, the kind you get in the lunch room and couldn't wait to eat. This recipe fills a 9x13 baking sheet, so it's idea for parties , groups, and get togethers. It's super fast and easy to make. Simple chocolate goodness with a moist brownie texture. Enjoy!~

You Will Need

For the brownies

Cooking Spray or oil

2 Sticks room temperature butter

1/2 cup Coco Powder

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 1/2 Cups flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1/4 tsp Salt

2 tsp vanilla

Walnuts (optional)

For the Icing

ā€‹

1 1/2 Cup Milk

1 Stick Butter

3 TBSP Cocoa Powder

3 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla

1 Package Cream Cheese

Note: I refrigerated mine for an hour to let the frosting set. It's not necessary but it makes them easier to cut because they are so moist.

Directions

For the Brownies

ā€‹

1. Melt butter and and stir in cocoa Set Aside

2. In a mixing bowl beat eggs, sugar and vanilla, add cocoa mixture and stir in the rest of the dry ingredients Stir in walnuts if adding.

4. Spray a 9x13 Baking sheet with oil, and bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes. 

5. Remove from Oven and set aside to cool

Directions

For the Icing

1. Bring milk, cocoa and butter to a boil

2. Remove from heat

3. Add powder sugar and cream cheese, mix with a mixer until well combined. Wait till brownies are cooled and frost with icing.
