  • Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl.

  • Preparing the Filling:

  • Mash the egg yolks with a fork until they are smooth and free of lumps.

  • Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to the mashed yolks.

  • Mix well until the filling is creamy and well combined.

To store deviled eggs, follow these steps to ensure

they stay fresh and maintain their quality:

ā€‹

  1. Cooling: After preparing the deviled eggs, allow them to cool completely before storing.

  2. Covering: Place the deviled eggs in an airtight container. If possible, use a container that has a tight-fitting lid to prevent air from getting in and affecting the taste and texture.

  3. Layering: If you need to stack the deviled eggs, place a layer of parchment paper or plastic wrap between the layers to prevent them from sticking together.

  4. Temperature: Store the container of deviled eggs in the refrigerator. The cool temperature will help prevent bacterial growth and maintain their freshness.

  5. Timing: Deviled eggs are best when consumed within 1-2 days of preparation. While they can still be safe to eat for a few more days, the texture and flavor may start to deteriorate after that.

  6. Garnishes: If you've added paprika, herbs, or other garnishes, be aware that these can become wilted or lose their vibrancy after being stored. Consider adding these garnishes just before serving for the best presentation.

  7. Transporting: If you're planning to transport deviled eggs, place them in a container with a secure lid and keep them in a cooler with ice packs to maintain their temperature and quality.
